Open Education Opportunities

It is very encouraging to see the many opportunities available for Open Education ranging from Fully Online university courses  to MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) most of them permitting free enrollment. This will definitely help the learners to widen their Life-long-learning.

I will present below few MOOC and online courses I have completed during the last few months.

  1. Blended Learning Practice: BLP-2020. (MOOC by Commonwealth of Learning & Athabasca University, Canada). https://www.blpmooc.org/

This 4-week course is Open to teachers and other educational professionals considering implementing blended learning practice into their own classrooms or programs.

  1. Introduction to Technology Enabled Learning: TEL-MOOC. (MOOC- Commonwealth of Learning & Athabasca University, Canada). https://www.mooc4dev.org/telmooc

This 5-week Course is designed to help teachers build their knowledge and skillset in teaching and learning with technology.

  1. Understanding Open Educational Resources (OER): (Short Leaning module- by Commonwealth of Learning), https://learnoer.col.org/

This course intends to promote and develop the knowledge and understanding of open educational resources throughout the Commonwealth’s 53 member states.

  1. Open education, copyright and open licensing in a digital world (LiDA 103): (Micro Course-  Otago Polytechnic & Commonwealth of Learning).  https://oeru.org/learning-in-a-digital-age/

Participants will learn to effectively apply knowledge of copyright, open licensing and license remix compatibility utilizing open education practices to support tertiary learning in a global digital context.
